Ash & Brandon’s day saw it all, a classic North Queensland storm rolled in right at the time they were due to the start the ceremony. And… in North Queensland storm fashion it belted down with rain, lightening and thunder like we were watching the storm that was going to end the world. It then disappeared in 20 minutes and left like you’d never even knew it was there.

These two didn’t let this affect there excitement in any way, Ash and her bridal party danced the rain away while Branden and his lads stayed undercover rallying everyone out of the rain! What started wet, ended up being one of the best weddings we’ve attended.

Rustic, country vibes it screamed a Rockhampton wedding and didn’t disappoint. We asked Ash and Brandon some questions to sum up there day, see below:

What was the vibe you were going for?

We wanted a day to remember. Keeping traditions alive while still Keeping things relaxed. I wanted people to have fun with the games and eat great food (two very important things to me). Hence the gelato van!

What were your FAVE DETAILS on the day?

I loved how everything turned out styling wise. The flowers were beautiful and considering it rained majority of the day everything still looked stunning by the time the ceremony started.

The gelato cart would have to be a highlight!

Tell us all about your incredible DRESS!

My dress was from OH Hello Bride. I came to Brisbane for a weekend to find the “one”. Let’s just say it took 4 shops and a million try ons before I fell in love with this one.

I loved the bead work and I knew it would just sparkle throughout the night. I felt like a real princess while still being comfy in my sneakers.

A word of advice:

Hmm, you can’t control the weather but you can beg and cross everything for it to stop raining. I was so adamant I was having an outdoor wedding. We pushed the ceremony back by 40mins but we got our sunshine and rainbow while signing the marriage certificate. It was just perfect!

Please tell us about your STANDOUT VENDORS!

The stand out for our day would have to be our caterer. So many people were saying who great the food was and how they thought the entree was the main meal.

Plus the gelato cart from Gelatissamo!!
